The National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) is the premier industry group for property managers, and its annual Broker/Owner Conference gathers executives and owners of management companies from around the country for a week of learning and connection. 

Super’s co-founders, Lindsay Liu and Vika Kovalchuk Zamparelli, were on hand to personally meet with customers and management leaders to go deeper into Super’s technology. 

Here are their key takeaways and highlights on the top priorities that property management leaders expressed at the conference:

Strengthening process and operating standards

We repeatedly heard from business owners that operating standards is a growth enabler. Creating standard operating procedures, processes, and standards that are followed consistently is a major focus area. Maintaining a personal touch is critical for many operators, but ensuring that processes are followed also needs to go side-by-side with that.

AI is the future

How do you scale processes and operations? Property management leaders we spoke with were very eager to explore the opportunities with AI and had conviction that it would make a meaningful difference in their business. We had thoughtful discussions about the role of technology—and how it can help streamline many repetitive tasks (and frequent questions) in order to free up time for more meaningful connections and proactive work.

Communication is everyone’s pain point

No matter how great of a portal their property management system or maintenance tools might provide, every property manager was still inundated with too many communications coming at them left and right, from emails, notifications, text messages, and phone calls. Managing multiple channels, methods of communication, and maintaining oversight continues to be a problem—and Super’s better inbox solution was a hot topic!
